Seit dem Jahr 1267 stand an der Stelle der heutigen Christophorikirche eine der Maria von Ägypten geweihte Friedhofskapelle der Magdalenenkirche. Um 1410 wurde die Kapelle im gotischen Stil zu einer Kirche ausgebaut und erfuhr als Christophorikirche weitere Umbauten bis in das Jahr 1602 .
