Incunables
Incunabula are the earliest prints made with movable type, produced from the introduction of Gutenberg's printing press around 1450 until December 31, 1500 (known in German as Wiegendrucke). The University Library owns around 3,000 incunabulas, mostly from former monastic holdings, often still in their original bindings.
The incunabula are being digitized step by step and made available via the Franconica portal.
